It doesn't matter how short or long the belt will be programmed for. She must contemplate and come to terms with the solid fact that she will be completely unable to do anything but suffer in a way she never has before.
Is her desire to taste this drawn out sensation and helplessness stronger than her fears?
How long will she wonder? How long will the regret and curiosity twist in the back of her mind if she doesn't put the belt on now?
What must it feel like to fully and completely know just what you are going to do to yourself, and yet still feel your hands slide the cool metal into place, your fingers press the edges inexorably together until you hear that "click" and are flooded with the solid reality of your desires?
